Why, you ask? Well, she had earned her doctorate degree and to celebrate her daughter's feat, the mother put up a hoarding. And no, we are not kidding.
The woman named Kendra Busbee was so proud of her daughter that she wanted to boast her feat to the entire city. The 52-year-old rented a billboard space and got her daughter's face printed on the hoarding. She paid USD 1,250, which is approximately Rs 99,306 according to 6ABC. Yes, you read that right. The billboard is placed along Route 130, just south of Airport Circle near Camden. "Let me re-introduce myself. Dr Kristine S Smalls. Look what good came out of Camden!" reads the text on the hoarding.
“She typically goes above and beyond for me and my brother whenever we, like, have any type of accomplishment," said Kristine to the Philadelphia Inquirer. "She kind of outdoes herself each time." As per 6ABC, Kristine obtained her psychology doctorate from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine on July 29.
Busbee also shared a post on Facebook to congratulate her daughter, Kristine S. Smalls on her doctorate. "You must be my shining star. You were going to shine no matter where you are! I am the proudest mommy bean. I love you Dr. Kristine S. Smalls," reads the caption of the post.

The message at the bottom of the hoarding also has a story of its own. "We once heard that nothing good comes out of the city of Camden, and we just wanted to let them know this is something good that comes out of the city of Camden," Kendra remarked.

Women are treated in the new penal code as being on the same level as "slaves", with provisions allowing either "slave masters" or husbands to administer discretionary punishment, including beatings, to their wives or subordinates. This aspect of the code has drawn particular alarm from rights groups.

Andrew Windsor Mountbatten, who was stripped of his prince title over his links with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, was arrested in the UK on Thursday. Andrew is the grand-nephew of Lord Mountbatten, the last British viceroy in India. Lord Mountbatten was accused of being involved in a child sex ring, involving an orphanage in Belfast.
