Byndoor police book Subrahmanya for dragging dog tied to motorcycle, violating animal cruelty laws, video goes viral.
The Byndoor police in Udupi district have booked one Subrahmanya, a resident of Paduvari village, for dragging a dog by tying (chaining) it to a motorcycle.
The case was booked after the police saw the video on YouTube of the dog being dragged in an inhuman manner by a motorcycle heading from Ravotakatte to Nakatte on the NH-66 service road. The video of the incident went viral on the social media on Sunday, May 25.
Finding the rider as Subrahmanya, the Byndoor police booked him for provisions under section 325 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and section 11(1)(D) of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.

The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday ordered the issue of a notice to the State government on a PIL petition, which had complained about disturbances caused to people residing in the localities around the National Public School situated in Rajajinagar 5th block due to use of loudspeakers with high volume in the school and parking of school buses in residential areas.
