Moscow's white chases Kyiv's blue across Russian embassy's walls in US | Video

A Ukrainian flag was projected on the Russian Embassy in Washington, US, using a powerful spotlight. The video is now being shared online.

It looked like a game of cat and mouse — a white light chasing a Ukrainian flag across the exterior walls of the Russian Embassy. In a video that’s being shared online a spotlight can be seen projecting the Ukrainian flag on the walls of the Russian embassy in Washington, US.

What’s made the video comic is the Russian embassy’s attempt to wash out the projection using a white spotlight of its own. While the person behind the spotlight could not be seen in the video, the light was seemingly being projected by someone across the street from the embassy.

The US has rallied behind Ukraine and has been sending weapons to help in its fight against Russia. In a statement, after a call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, US President Joe Biden said on Wednesday: “Just spoke with President Zelenskyy and shared with him that my Administration is authorizing an additional $800 million in weapons, ammunition, and other security assistance to Ukraine. The Ukrainian military has used the weapons we are providing to devastating effect.”

“As Russia prepares to intensify its attack in the Donbas region, the United States will continue to provide Ukraine with the capabilities to defend itself,” the statement further read.

The US and the European Union are trying to corner Russia and force it to abandon its invasion of Ukraine using sanctions and by sending weapons to Zelenskyy’s aid. The US and the EU are particularly considering sanctions in the energy sector.
