Shardul Kadam, a resident of Pune, made headlines after he decided to wear a mangalsutra on his wedding day to support gender equality. Not only his wife Tanuja but their parents as well as relatives were surprised owing to his decision. So much so, that Shardul was trolled online as well. But criticism as such could not alter Shardul’s decision as he remarked, “We support each other’s work, believe in each other’s dreams, and are in this journey together. So, who cares what the world thinks?” His story has gone viral on social media after he narrated it at length during an interview with Humans Of Bombay.
