A man won hearts online after he was seen recording his daughter’s school performance on a modest keypad phone during a Republic Day celebration, a moment that captured the depth of parental pride and love.
The video, shared on Instagram by Jitendar Sarswat, shows the man standing among a group of schoolchildren seated on the ground in what appears to be a school courtyard. On a small stage decorated for the occasion, his daughter can be seen performing, while he carefully holds up his basic mobile phone, focused on recording every second.
Sharing the clip, Sarswat wrote in the caption, “Brother won the heart." In a follow-up caption, he added a question that sparked even more discussion online: “Should this brother get a new phone, watch our new reel and give your opinion in comments.”
The video appears to be filmed from behind the man, offering a candid perspective of the father with his attention fixed entirely on the stage, his phone raised carefully, as rows of children sit ahead of him watching the performance. A temple structure with a saffron flag can be seen in the background, adding to the distinctly rural setting of the celebration.
The father’s effort to document his daughter’s moment, despite limited means, became the emotional core of the clip. Several users saw it as a sign of pride, encouragement, and love that did not depend on expensive gadgets.
