Light to moderate showers lashed parts of Hyderabad on Monday evening, bringing relief, without causing any major traffic disruptions beyond the usual congestion. Traffic police personnel remained deployed at key junctions to ensure smooth movement.
According to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), as of 6 p.m., the highest rainfall was recorded in Ramachandrapuram and Patancheru with 13.3 mm, followed by Rajendranagar with 12.5 mm, Serilingampally with 12.3 mm, and Attapur with 11 mm. Other areas such as Jubilee Hills received 10 mm, Falaknuma 8 mm, Mehdipatnam 7.5 mm, Banjara Hills 6.5 mm, and Musheerabad 6 mm.

The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday ordered the issue of a notice to the State government on a PIL petition, which had complained about disturbances caused to people residing in the localities around the National Public School situated in Rajajinagar 5th block due to use of loudspeakers with high volume in the school and parking of school buses in residential areas.
