Krushna Abhishek revealed on Maniesh Paul's talk show that he suffered from depression after his debut film tanked at the box office. He revealed that he had no work for two years.

Krushna Abhishek, who is currently seen on The Kapil Sharma Show as Sapna, recently opened up on suffering from depression on Maniesh Paul’s talk show. The actor revealed how he was affected and had no work after his debut film tanked at the box office.

Krushna Abhishek revealed that he was noticed by an assistant of Abbas Mustan, who offered him the lead role in film. He was unsure, as he was just 18 years old, but after his father asked him to accept the offer, he signed for the film. He shared that even his father wanted to become an actor. He revealed that his dad sold his piece of land in Himachal Pradesh and came to Mumbai to get into acting.

With no preparation, Krushna jumped at the opportunity and signed the film, but it flopped. He said, "I jumped at the opportunity and signed the film. They spent Rs 7-8 crore on it and the film tanked. After the film flopped, mujhe kaam nahi mila aur depression ho gaya. (I had no work and I got into depression). I was 18-19 years old. After that, I got a Tamil film. I did that too. Even that did not work. And for the next couple of years I did not get work."

He further added that his Mama Govinda helped his dad after he got sick and had to be hospitalised. He shared that the Hero No 1 actor was always there for them when they were in need. He added that Govinda never helped him professionally, as he wanted him to face his own share of struggles.

The infamous rift between Govinda and Krushna has been making headlines for a long time now. Opening up about the same, the actor apologised to his mama.

Krushna tied the knot with Kashmera Shah in 2013. The couple are parents to two twin sons. At present, he is seen on Sony TV's The Kapil Sharma Show.
