Congress candidate from Kerala’s Nilambur V.V. Prakash dies of heart attack
The death of Malappuram District Congress Committee (DCC) president V.V. Prakash, who was the United Democratic Front (UDF) candidate in Nilambur Assembly constituency in the recently held election, has left everyone guessing. When counting takes place on May 2, all eyes will be on Nilambur. If Prakash wins, Nilambur will have to go to polls again to elect an MLA through a by-election. The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday ordered the issue of a notice to the State government on a PIL petition, which had complained about disturbances caused to people residing in the localities around the National Public School situated in Rajajinagar 5th block due to use of loudspeakers with high volume in the school and parking of school buses in residential areas.
