Kejriwal attacks Modi for ‘submitting’ to Trump; alleges LPG ‘crisis’ likely to worsen

Kejriwal criticizes Modi for yielding to Trump, warning of a worsening LPG supply crisis impacting businesses across India.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal alleged on Tuesday (March 10, 2026) that a deepening LPG supply “crisis”, could worsen. He also attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allegedly submitting to U.S. President Donald Trump.
“Across the country, except for educational institutions and hospitals, LPG supply to commercial establishments has been stopped. Gas will now be supplied only for domestic use. In the coming days, the situation regarding gas and oil is likely to worsen further. PM Modi is bowing to Trump due to certain compulsions. Is the country now paying the price for that?” Mr. Kejriwal said in a post on X.
Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia claimed that even four days ago, “government sources” claimed that there was no shortage of LPG. “Today the government is invoking the Essential Commodities Act to control gas. Refineries are being ordered to divert gas supplies and the booking time for domestic cylinders has also been extended to 25 days,” he said.
“The first question is whether the sources were lying or the government was. The war in West Asia has now reached India’s kitchens and livelihoods. Today dhabas, hotels, small restaurants and lakhs of small businesses are struggling due to the shortage of commercial gas. The second question is whether the people of India are now paying the price for PM Modi bowing before Trump?” Mr. Sisodia added.
There was no immediate reaction from the Delhi BJP.
