
Auto drivers praised for returning bags with cash, valuables

Two auto drivers in Ongole praised for returning bags with cash and valuables, showcasing exemplary honesty and integrity.
Prakasam District Superintendent of Police (SP) V. Harshavardhan Raju appreciated two autorickshaw drivers who returned bags found with cash and other valuables to the police. He lauded them for their honesty in handing over the bags, which contained cash and gold ornaments that had been left behind by passengers who had travelled in their vehicles.
Gadde Nageswara Rao, an auto driver from Balaji Nagar, identified a bag forgotten by a passenger while boarding and alighting from his auto at Court Center in Ongole on Tuesday. He immediately handed it over to Ongole One Town Police Station. The bag contained gold and cash worth nearly ₹30 lakh.
Similarly, another auto driver, Sheikh Khalil from Bilal Nagar, picked up passengers from Venkateswara Colony and dropped them off at Ongole RIMS Hospital. After the passengers got out, they forgot a bag in the back seat of the auto. The driver found it and immediately handed over the bag, which contained about six savarans of gold, silver, and cash, to the One Town Police officials.
