DMK rattled by NDA’s popularity, says Prime Minister Narendra Modi

PM Modi claims DMK is unsettled by NDA's growing popularity in Tamil Nadu, highlighting misgovernance and upcoming development projects.
The DMK is clearly rattled by the National Democratic Alliance’s rising popularity across Tamil Nadu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday.
“The people of Tamil Nadu have seen through the misgovernance and unfulfilled promises of DMK. That is why, they are connecting with NDA’s agenda of hope and progress,” Mr. Modi said in a post on X, ahead of his visit to Tiruchi to address a rally along with other NDA leaders on Wednesday, March 11.
Arrangements are in full swing for the public meeting to be held at Panjapur in the city on Wednesday evening. Prior to addressing the public meeting, the Prime Minister, at a separate event, will inaugurate and unveil the foundation for multiple development projects worth around ₹5,650 crore in Tamil Nadu.
The projects cover key sectors, including petroleum and natural gas infrastructure, lubricants manufacturing, rural connectivity, highway development and railway services, according to a release issued by the Press Information Bureau
Mr. Modi will lay the foundation for Bharat Petroleum Corporation’s City Gas Distribution Network in The Nilgiris and Erode districts to be executed at an investment of more than ₹3,680 crore. The project will provide PNG connections to over 8.8 lakh households, supply gas to more than 200 commercial establishments and establish over 201 CNG stations
He will dedicate to the nation the 672 Thousand Metric Tonnes Per Annum Lube Blending Plant of Indian Oil Corporation at Manali in Chennai. Developed at an investment of about ₹1,490 crore, the plant will strengthen India’s lubricants manufacturing capacity.
