JNNCE student secures first rank in MBA, wins four gold medals

Parvathi Salera, a student of JNN College of Engineering in Shivamogga, won four gold medals by securing the first rank in the MBA final exams conducted by Visvesvaraya Technological University. Sanjay M.V., another student, secured the eighth rank in M.Tech (Computer Science).

G.S. Narayana Rao, president of the National Education Society, congratulated the students who secured ranks during a press conference in Shivamogga on Monday. The medals and ranks were presented to the students at the VTU convocation held in Belagavi.
Parvathi Salera, who secured the first rank in her MBA programme, had previously earned six gold medals in her BE (Computer Science) degree as a student of the same college. She is the granddaughter of Salera Siddappa, former MLA, from Bhadravathi. Her mother, Aishwarya Salera, an alumnus of the college, secured the fifth rank in her BE (Electronics and Communication) programme, as recalled by Mr. Rao.
The rank holders would be felicitated by the society during the inauguration of Idea Lab to be held in the last week of February, he added.
NES secretary S.N. Nagaraj, college principal Y. Vijay Kuar, NES associate secretary P. Narayan, research dean S.V. Satyanarayana, head of MBA department Srikanth and others were present at the press conference.
