Action sought against YSRCP leaders over alleged adulteration of Tirumala laddu
Many representatives and devotees of the Hindu religion on Monday demanded action against YSRCP leaders who were allegedly responsible for the use of adulterated ghee in Tirumala Laddu Prasadam. They raised the demand during a protest held at Alipiri in Tirupati.
Condemning the statements made by YSRCP leaders, Atluri Narayana Rao, former film producer and coordinator of Sadhu groups, religious leaders and Hindu communities, said that major conspiracies were hidden behind their announcements.
He said the culprits involved in adulterating the Prasadam should be punished severely and called for the immediate setting up of a fast-track court. He also urged the coalition government to order an inquiry by a sitting judge into every conspiracy that allegedly took place in Tirumala over the last five years.
The YSRCP government had played with the health of crores of Hindus by mixing adulterated ghee in the Prasadam, he alleged. He further demanded that those spreading malicious information about Tirumala, Tirupati and the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams be arrested immediately under the Preventive Detention Act.
Sivananda Swamy of Shiva Kameswari Peetham, Thumma Omkara, Rajeswarananda Swamy, Kala Bhairaveshwara Swamy, Neelkantha, Anjali Mataji, Om Sri Mataji and others participated in the protest.
