A leopard found injured on the Seetharkundu road at Nelliyampathy in the district succumbed to its injuries on Monday evening. The leopard had severe head wounds when it was found lying by the Pobson Road in the morning. Despite forest officials being alerted, the leopard died before veterinary surgeons could treat it. According to officials, the injuries were likely caused by a fight with other wild animals.
