Influencer Amulya Rattan addressed the uproar over her viral 'no civic sense' video remark, which led to divided opinions on accountability and online behaviour.
Influencer Amulya Rattan has finally addressed the controversy surrounding her viral video in which she was heard accusing a passerby of “zero civic sense” while filming an outfit check in a public space.
The clip, which quickly circulated across social media platforms, led to trolling, memes, and criticism, with several users accusing her of being entitled and insensitive.
The backlash stemmed from a short video where Rattan appeared visibly annoyed as a man walked past her while she was recording. In the clip, she was heard saying, “People have no civic sense, zero,” a statement that social media users locked onto, turning it into viral memes and parody content.
Following a few days of intense online attention, Rattan shared a clarification video on Instagram, offering her version of events and responding to the criticism.
In the video, she said, “Hi guys, one of my videos is being circulated on the internet and I think it’s been taken out of context. So let me give you my side of the story of what exactly happened that day.”
She went on to explain that she was fully aware she was filming in a public area, saying, “I was recording my basic simple outfit check video, and I was well aware that I was in a public space, and I changed my spot multiple times so that I didn’t interrupt anyone and no one gets disturbed.”

Leon Panetta said Iran war was not an unexpected risk. He pointed out that for years, US security officials have known Iran could disrupt global oil supplies by blocking the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, this was a well-known danger, but one that appears to have been overlooked in the current conflict.
