Hansal Mehta seeks Remdesvir for Covid-positive son on Twitter, fans respond

On Tuesday (April 20), director Hansal Mehta took to Twitter to seek Remdesvir for his son Pallava who has tested Covid-19 positive. Since his tweet, he has been receiving help from friends and strangers alike about places where Remdesvir might be available.

In the second wave of the novel coronavirus, there has been a shortage of beds, vaccines and oxygen cylinders for Covid-19 patients in several states across the country. On Monday, there were reports that as the demand for Remdesvir is increasing, pharmaceutical vendors are black-marketing the drug six times higher than its official price. In these trying times, with the unavailability of the drug at hospitals, director Hansal Mehta took to Twitter to ask for help when his son Pallava tested positive for the novel coronavirus. And soon, there were hundreds of netizens who came forward to help the director with leads about where the drug might be available. Location Mumbai. Director Hansal Mehta, known for films like Shahid and Simran took to Twitter to ask people for help in seeking Remdesvir, a drug used for Covid-19 treatment. In the tweet, he wrote, “Need help with procuring Remdesvir for my son Pallava who is Covid +ve and has low O2 saturation. Would appreciate leads (sic).”
