Karnataka leaders wish RCB victory in IPL 2025 final against Punjab Kings, fans gear up for match frenzy.
Ahead of the widely-anticipated, high-stakes IPL 2025 final between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings, leaders of Karnataka took to social media to convey their wishes to the home team.
The match, being played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on June 3, 2025, will see RCB attempt to break a 17-year-old jinx and script victory. With IPL frenzy taking over loyal fans across the State, political leaders were not far behind in joining the bandwagon and cheering their team on.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah took to X to convey his wishes to RCB. “From the very first season till now, we’ve stood by RCB through every high and low. May this be the year we finally lift the trophy. They say good things come to those who wait — may today be RCB’s moment, and ours too!” he wrote.
Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar posted a video message, invoking the RCB fan slogan “Ee Sala Cup Namde!” which translates to “This time, the cup is ours!”

Wishing that RCB returns home victorious, former CM and Haveri MP Basavaraj Bommai said the wishes of millions of fans would come true this year.
“Today our RCB team is playing the final match against Punjab Kings team, I wish RCB team victory. For eighteen consecutive years, RCB has emerged as the favorite to win the title this time, despite many ups and downs, and millions of fans are confident that RCB will win this time. I am confident that the fans’ wishes will come true,” he said on X.
