
Ganesh Puthran nominated Konkan Railway Users’ Consultative Committee member

The Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd., (KRCL) has nominated Kundapura Rail Prayanikara Hitharakshana Samithi president Ganesh Puthran as a member of Konkan Railway Users’ Consultative Committee.
The Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd., (KRCL) has nominated Kundapura Rail Prayanikara Hitharakshana Samithi president Ganesh Puthran, as a member of Konkan Railway Users’ Consultative Committee.
Mr. Puthran was nominated from the category of Railway Passenger Associations of Karnataka, said a recent letter from KRCL to the newly-nominated member. The nomination would be in force for a period of two years, till September 2026, the letter said.
A businessman and civil contractor in Kundapura, Mr. Puthran and team have been actively pursuing railway-related issues in the coastal region for many years.
As a member of the KRUCC, Mr. Puthran is expected to give suggestions for the improvement of services and the overall development of the corporation.

After mandating pet dog licensing and microchipping, Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) bids to do the same for cattle to curb stray cattle issues and man-animal conflicts in the streets. The civic body has moved to make it compulsory for cattle owners to obtain licenses for their animals across all zones.
