Former AIADMK Minister Thangamani’s residence in Namakkal, other premises in 69 places, searched

Officials of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption have said the former Minister, his wife and son have acquired disproportionate assets to the tune of ₹4.85 crore
Officials from the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) are conducting raids at the residence of former Electricity Minister P.Thangamani of the AIADMK, and at places related to him in other parts of the State.
Vigilance sleuths reached the former Minister’s residence in Pallipalayam during early hours of Wednesday and the raids started by 7 a.m here.

The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday ordered the issue of a notice to the State government on a PIL petition, which had complained about disturbances caused to people residing in the localities around the National Public School situated in Rajajinagar 5th block due to use of loudspeakers with high volume in the school and parking of school buses in residential areas.
