Family woken up by sound of house falling apart in Bengaluru rains

A 50-year-old house on Milkman Street, near Lido Mall in Ulsoor, collapsed following overnight rain in Bengaluru on November 18-19.
No one was injured.
There were four persons in the house. They woke up around 5 a.m. to some unusual sounds, like the house was falling apart. They immediately stepped outside. "Within minutes, the house collapsed," says Shankar, the house-owner adding, "Besides heavy rains, there was strong winds outside."

The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday ordered the issue of a notice to the State government on a PIL petition, which had complained about disturbances caused to people residing in the localities around the National Public School situated in Rajajinagar 5th block due to use of loudspeakers with high volume in the school and parking of school buses in residential areas.
