Explosives hurled near BJP leader Sobha Surendran's residence in Thrissur triggers concern, sparking demands for investigation.
Unidentified individuals hurled what was reported as explosives near the residence of BJP leader Sobha Surendran at Ayyanthole, near Thrissur, on Friday (April 25, 2025) night, triggering concern.
Sobha Surendran stated that she was awaken by the loud explosion, which occurred near the gate of a house located opposite her own. According to preliminary police findings, the blast may have been caused by firecrackers. However, four unidentified individuals seen fleeing the scene on a motorbike are currently under suspicion.
While the police have yet to confirm the identities or motives of the suspects, Sobha Surendran has alleged that the incident was a deliberate attack targeting her. In response, the BJP has demanded a thorough and immediate investigation into the matter.

The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday ordered the issue of a notice to the State government on a PIL petition, which had complained about disturbances caused to people residing in the localities around the National Public School situated in Rajajinagar 5th block due to use of loudspeakers with high volume in the school and parking of school buses in residential areas.
