UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, said the world can overcome challenges by embracing Mahatma Gandhi's values and working across cultures.
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres tweeted an image of the 'Knotted Gun' on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and said embracing Mahatma Gandhi's values will help in defeating challenges faced by the world.
In the tweet, Guterres wrote, "On International Day of Non-Violence, we celebrate Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday & values of peace, respect & the essential dignity shared by everyone. We can defeat today's challenges by embracing these values & working across cultures."

The 'Knotted Gun' is an iconic global sculpture parting the message of peace and non-violence.
The sculpture was created by Swedish artist Carl Fredrik Reuterswrd in 1980 as a tribute to John Lennon, the English songwriter and Beetles member, after his murder.

Leon Panetta said Iran war was not an unexpected risk. He pointed out that for years, US security officials have known Iran could disrupt global oil supplies by blocking the Strait of Hormuz.
