
Driver escapes with minor injuries after car plunges into canal in Coimbatore

Taxi driven by Manikandan plunges into canal in Coimbatore after veering to avoid collision, driver sustains minor injuries.
In the early hours of Monday, a taxi driven by Manikandan (45) plunged into a canal near G.V. Residency Road in Coimbatore city.
The incident occurred around 6.30 a.m. while Manikandan was driving from Aluva, Kerala, to Coimbatore.
According to Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services, the driver veered sharply to avoid a collision with an autorickshaw coming from a crossroad. He lost control, causing the vehicle to plunge into the canal.
Manikandan sustained minor injuries and was taken to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital. There were no passengers in the taxi at the time.
