MoU signed between SSM HEIR and LSDB for digital courses; Farewell function for retiring professor celebrated emotionally.
MoU signed
A memorandum of understanding has been signed between SSM Higher Educational Institutions for Research (SSM HEIR), Dindigul, and London School of Digital Business (LSDB), U.K., on May 9.
LSDB Director Sachin Parekh and D. Senthil Kumaran, secretary, SSM College of Arts and Science and Principal of SSM Institute of Engineering and Technology, signed the MoU in the presence of N. Sampathkumar, Principal of SSM college, and Madhura Palange, Business Development Manager of LSDB.
The MoU enables the LSDB to provide online courses on relevant digital essentials, marketing, and remote internship programmes for the students of the institutions. Also the programmes offered by LSDB would help the students apply digital skills within their domain or build a career in the digital field.
Farewell function
A retirement and farewell function was organised to recognise the services of M. Soundarapandian, Senior Professor, Department of Rural Industries and Management, Gandhigram Rural Institute.
It was an emotional moment, celebrating Mr. Soundarapandian’s decades of academic service and mentorship.
