IndiaToday.in has exclusively learnt that Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan Khan, had pitched a show to Amazon Prime Video. SRK had spoken about Aryan's interest in direction and writing in the past.
On several occasions, Shah Ruk Khan has mentioned that his elder son, Aryan Khan, doesn't want to be an actor. In fact, the star kid is interested in filmmaking and he is even learning the art. Recently, it was reported that SRK's son Aryan would make his Bollywood debut as a director. And now, IndiaToday.in has exclusively learnt that Aryan had pitched a show to Amazon Prime Video, which he wanted to direct himself.
A source close to the Khan family informed IndiaToday.in, "Aryan Khan is willing to be a writer and also become a director. The star kid had earlier pitched a show to Amazon Prime Video and he wanted to direct it." It is not known if the pitch was successful, and if yes, what stage it is at.
In an old interview with Mumbai Mirror, Shah Rukh Khan had mentioned, "Aryan doesn't want to be an actor, he wants to make films, become a director and is training for it in the US."
Even when he appeared as a special guest on David Letterman's show, SRK had opened up about his son being inclined towards filmmaking. "He (Aryan) doesn't have what it takes to be an actor and he realises that too, but he's a good writer... I think wanting to be an actor has to come from within. Something you really need to do and find a set of skills that help you do it and learn it. I think I realised it when he said that to me and added, 'I don't think I want to act'."
Shah Rukh Khan will be seen next in Pathaan with Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. The teaser of the much-awaited film just dropped and it has left fans quite intrigued. The film is set to hit the big screens on January 25, 2023.
