Vijay Sethupathi has reportedly charged Rs 21 crore for Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. He will apparently be seen as an antagonist in the film.

Vijay Sethupathi is one of the biggest superstars of the South film industry. The actor, who was recently seen in Vikram, is reportedly set to feature in filmmaker Atlee's Jawan. Jawan features Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara in the lead roles. It is being reported that Vijay is likely to play the main antagonist in the film. Having said that, you will be surprised to know the amount that Vijay Sethupathi reportedly charged to be a part of Jawan. As per a media report, Vijay charged a whopping Rs 21 crore for SRK's Jawan.

Vijay Sethupathi reportedly hiked his fees from Rs 15 crore to Rs 21 crore for Jawan. "This is the maximum that Sethupathi has charged for a feature film till date and the hike in fees has come post the tremendous appreciation he got for his performance in Vikram. While he was in talks for Jawan for a while now, the paperwork happened post the thunderous success of Vikram. He has upped his fees from Rs 15 crore to Rs 21 crore for Jawan," a source told Pinkvilla.

The source further shared, "He had to leave two films to be a part of this one. But the character is so powerful that he didn’t mind letting go off other projects. Atlee has churned out a role that got Vijay very excited."

Talking about SRK, he is coming back to the big screen with three exciting projects. First, he will be seen in Pathaan with Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film is scheduled for release on January 25, 2023.

Next, his film Jawan with Atlee, is set to release on June 2, 2023. And finally, the superstar will be seen alongside Taapsee Pannu in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki. It releases on December 22, 2023.
