Filmmaker Karan Johar admitted to experiencing major “Dhurandhar FOMO” as the buzz around Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues to grow. Despite being unable to watch the film due to his current shooting schedule in a remote location, Johar shared that the overwhelming response and industry-wide support have only heightened his excitement and curiosity.
On Sunday, Johar addressed the growing chatter around the film, directed by Aditya Dhar, on his Instagram Story. He shared that he is currently stationed at a location with no access to a cinema, which has kept him from catching the much-talked-about release.
The filmmaker also expressed pride in seeing members of the film fraternity rally behind the project and celebrate its success.
Karan wrote, “I am filming in a location that has no access to a cinema and am suffering from FOMO! DHURANDHAR FOMO."
"I can’t wait to watch it and am so proud of so many members of our fraternity who are coming out and supporting and loving the film it’s so heartening to see the united love for an INDIAN FILM! @adityadharfilms @officialjiostudios @ranveersingh (sic)," he added.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is a high-stakes geopolitical action thriller featuring Ranveer Singh as Indian spy Hamza Ali Mazari, who infiltrates Pakistan’s terror-criminal network. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi in key roles.
