Hits like a war drum: Rishab Shetty praises Dhurandhar 2 amid Kantara mimicry row
India Today
Kannada actor-director Rishab Shetty praised Dhurandhar: The Revenge amid the Kantara mimicry row, calling it a powerful and immersive cinematic experience. Telugu star Venkatesh said it takes immense vision to bring Dhurandhar to life.
Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Ranveer Singh's Kantara mimicry at last year's International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Rishab Shetty has shared his review of Dhurandhar: The Revenge. In a social media post, Shetty, the lead actor and director of the Kantara films, praised the storytelling, performances and technical brilliance of Ranveer Singh's new release, Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
Setty called the film a powerful cinematic experience, even as discussions about the IFFI 2026 controversy continue online.
Sharing his thoughts, Shetty wrote on X, "#DhurandharTheRevenge the very first scene pulls you in and never lets go. Every frame hits like a war drum (sic)."
"This isn’t just a sequel; it’s a statement. Brilliant storytelling, brother absolutely loved the detailing, @AdityaDharFilms (sic)," he added.
He went on to praise the performances of the ensemble cast, including R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Ranveer Singh, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun and Sanjay Dutt, applauding their performances.

Aditya Dhar doesn't make it easy to watch Dhurandhar: The Revenge. He lets you experience the discomfort, the silence that haunts and the screams that linger longer than you want. But at the centre of it all is India's clear policy: anti-terror, not anti-Pakistan. Consider this your spoiler warning.
