Devotees offer prayers to Goddess Goda Devi during Dhanurmasam at Shiva Balaji temple in Srikakulam with special arrangements made.
Hundreds of devotees offered prayers to the Goddess Goda Devi with the beginning of the auspicious ‘Dhanurmasam’. After chanting the first ‘Pasuram of Tiruppavai’, they performed puja at the Shiva Balaji temple in Bankers Colony, Srikakulam. The priests Gopinambala Venkata Sitaramacharyulu, Satya Kurmacharyulu performed ‘Viswaksena Aaradhana’, ‘Punyahavachanam’, ‘Ganta puja’, amid religious fervour in the temple premises.
The temple trust board president Gunta Tulasirao and members of the committee made arrangements for the special prayers. They said that the devotees from other places would take part in ‘Goda Devi Kalyanam’, which would be celebrated on January 13th, the final day of Dhanurmasam.
