Union Minister for I&B, Youth Affairs & Sports, Anurag Thakur and Deepika Padukone inaugurated India Pavilion today at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. India is the 'Country of Honour’ at the Marche’ Du Film, organised alongside Cannes, and therefore it was a grand moment for all the Indian artists and dignitaries present. During the press conference, folk singer Mame Khan started singing a beautiful melody which forced actors Deepika Padukone, Tamannaah Bhatia and Pooja Hegde to break into a dance. A video of the same is now going viral.
Today, May 18, India Pavilion was inaugurated at the Cannes. Stalwarts from Deepika Padukone to R. Madhavan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui to AR Rahman, Tamannaah Bhatia to Pooja Hegde, among others were present at the inauguration. The Indian contingent was led by Union Minister for I&B, Youth Affairs & Sports, Anurag Thakur, at the inauguration.
While the artists interacted and spoke about the future if cinema, in a unique moment, folk singer Mame Khan, who was also part of the Indian contingent, broke into a beautiful song at everyone's request. The moment was so electrifying that the likes of Deepika, Pooja and Tamannaah could not help but start dancing to the melody.
