Bodies of 19 killed in landslips recovered, six people still missing
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that 42 people have died in the State in natural calamities triggered by heavy rainfall between October 12 and October 20.
The bodies of 19 people who died in landslips in the districts of Kottayam (12 people in Plapally and Kavali in Koottickal panchayat) and Idukki (seven from Kokkayar and Peruvanthanam) were recovered.

The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday ordered the issue of a notice to the State government on a PIL petition, which had complained about disturbances caused to people residing in the localities around the National Public School situated in Rajajinagar 5th block due to use of loudspeakers with high volume in the school and parking of school buses in residential areas.
