Cyberabad police review security, traffic, and emergency plans for Miss World 2025 event in Telangana.
Law enforcement deployment, traffic management strategies, emergency preparedness, public safety protocols and smooth conduct of associated cultural and social programmes were the key concerns discussed during the high-level preparatory and security review meeting by the Cyberabad police in Madhapur on Wednesday (April 30, 2025).
The meeting that brought together senior police officers, tourism authorities, and key government stakeholders, was convened to oversee the final arrangements related to security, logistics, and inter-departmental coordination for the event, which is scheduled to take place in the city from May 7 to 31, with the grand finale set for May 31 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre.
The 28-day festival will include cultural heritage tours, talent showcases and social impact events.
The security review emphasised inter-departmental synergy to ensure flawless execution of the event schedule. Detailed plans were also laid out for traffic diversions and transport arrangements in key locations, particularly around event venues and tourist landmarks that the contestants are expected to visit. These include the Charminar, Ramappa Temple, Buddhavanam, and Pochampally, all of which form part of the State’s cultural showcase.
Managing Director of the Telangana Tourism Development Corporation, Nyalakonda Prakash Reddy highlighted that Miss World 2025 served as a global platform to present Telangana’s modern infrastructure and hospitality standards. He stressed that the event was not merely a pageant but an opportunity to position the State as a premier international tourism and cultural destination.
The meeting also addressed the importance of medical readiness, hospitality coordination, and special attention to women and child safety throughout the event.
