Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurates new Mysuru City Corporation office building in Sharadadevi Nagar, enhancing services for residents.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday inaugurated the newly constructed zone-3 office building of the Mysuru City Corporation at Sharadadevi Nagar here.
The facility was built at a cost of ₹6.5 crore. The new office is expected to be fully operational from Monday.
Minister in charge of Mysuru district H.C. Mahadevappa, MLAs G.T. Deve Gowda and K. Harish Gowda, and others were present.
Constructed on a 1.2 acre plot, the two-storied building on the CA-1 site on High Tension Road – Swami Vivekananda Road is close to the previous office located on New Kantharaj Urs Road.
Zone-3, one of the nine zones under the MCC, includes areas such as Sharadadevi Nagar, Dattagalli, Nivedithanagar, Kuvempunagar, Bogadi, Ramakrishnanagar, K.G. Koppal, Saraswathipuram, T.K. Layout, and Vijayanagar 3rd Stage. Until now, the zone-3 office operated from a rented building near Sharadadevi Nagar Circle.
“Koosina mane” Child Care Centre was also launched on the occasion. It is perhaps a first-of-its-kind facility among zonal offices, offering a safe space for children accompanying women visiting the office for services like birth certificates.
The Chief Minister later attended the State Youth Congress workshop and addressed the participants.
