Deepika Padukone is enjoying every moment at Cannes 2022. Apart from making statements with her stunning outfits, the actress has been making India proud as a jury member at French Riviera. At the inauguration of the Indian Pavilion at the 75th Cannes Film Festival, Deepika spoke about her film journey in Bollywood. At the same time, the actress shed light on India's cinematic journey so far.

Deepika Padukone went down memory lane and recalled how nobody had faith in her, about 15 years ago. "When I came to this industry 15 years back, I don’t think anyone had faith in me or my talent or my craft. So, 15 years later, to be part a part of the jury and to be actually experiencing some of the best cinema in the world has been an incredible journey and I am truly grateful for that," said Deepika.

The actress further mentioned that she is proud to be representing India at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. "I feel we have a long way to go as a country, I feel really proud to be here as an Indian and to be representing the country. But when we look back at 75 Years of Cannes, I have said earlier also that there have been only a handful of Indian films, and Indian talent that have been able to make it and I feel like collectively as a nation today we have it," she added.

Work-wise, Deepika Padukone has several films lined up. The actress will next be seen in Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. Deepika also has Fighter with Hrithik Roshan, The Intern's Hindi remake with Amitabh Bachchan, Project K with Prabhas and Mahabharata.
