A budget British airline has paid an undisclosed amount of compensation to a passenger who had sued the company as she was asked to give up her seat because she was female.
A British budget airline easyJet had to apologise and pay an undisclosed amount in compensation to a passenger who was twice asked to give up her seat because she was female. As per a report in Independent, Melanie Wolfson, was asked to move on two separate flights because of ultra-Orthodox travellers who would not sit next to a woman. Wolfson was born in Britain but now lives in Tel Aviv. She had sought 66,438 shekels (£14,400 or 14,59,108 Rs) in a suit filed by a reformist group, the Israel Religious Action Centre.More Related News
