An Australian tourist in India managed to get Indian visitors at the iconic Kailasa Temple in Ellora to break into loud patriotic and devotional chants, leaving social media both amused and delighted.
Travel vlogger Duncan McNaught shared the now-viral moment on Instagram, writing in the caption, “Am I ready for my Aadhaar card?”
In the video, McNaught can be seen standing inside the Kailasa Temple complex as streams of visitors walk past in the background. Smiling at the camera, he tells viewers, “Watch this,” before turning toward the crowd and loudly chanting, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai!”
Within seconds, several visitors enthusiastically repeat the slogan in unison. Encouraged by the response, McNaught follows it up with “Jai Shree Ram,” prompting an even louder chorus from the crowd behind him.
The spontaneous call-and-response moment, set against the historic backdrop of one of India’s most revered rock-cut temples, caught attention online for its unexpected blend of tourism, patriotism, and cultural exchange.
