Videos from Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s Tuesday trial are doing rounds on the internet. While one clip showed the actor smiling as Amber’s lawyer impersonated him, another was of the actress calling Johnny guilty in court.
Those who have been keeping close track of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s defamation trial know the actor has refused to look at his ex-wife. On Tuesday, the actress talked about the same in court and explained her take on Johnny’s lack of eye contact. The actor gave the best reaction to Amber’s reasoning. On the other hand, Johnny was seen smiling during one of the occasions when the actress’s lawyer impersonated him.
After a week off, the defamation trial between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s resumed on May 16 at Fairfax, Virginia court. Now, a few videos from Tuesday's trial are doing rounds on social media. In the first one, Amber talked about Johnny’s lack of eye contact. She said she believes it's because he knows he's guilty and that’s why he refused to look her in the eye.
"Because he's guilty. He knows he's lying, otherwise, why can't he look at me? I survived that man and I'm here and I'm able to look at him," said the actress. Amber Heard’s lawyers had previously suggested that during cross-examination of the actress on Monday, her ex-husband promised to never look her in the eyes again. The actor took this decision because Amber accused him of domestic violence by taking out a restraining order against him in 2016.
While Amber Heard was giving her statement about Johnny’s lack of eye contact in court, the actor reacted. He was seen leaning toward his lawyer and saying, “I don't want to, I don't want to." Take a look at the video:
