Billie Eilish dominates 2025 AMAs, Beyoncé and Eminem also win big, with performances from Lady Gaga and more.
The 2025 American Music Awards held in Las Vegas saw generational powerhouse, Billie Eilish, sweep all seven categories in which she was nominated.
Eilish took home the evening’s top honours, including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and Favorite Pop Album for Hit Me Hard and Soft. She also won Favorite Female Pop Artist and Favorite Touring Artist. Her track Birds of a Feather clinched both Song of the Year and Favorite Pop Song, marking a flawless victory lap for her latest project.
Continuing her successful pivot to country, Beyoncé walked away with two trophies for her latest genre-blending work: Favorite Female Country Artist and Favorite Country Album for Cowboy Carter. Post Malone also made his country debut count, winning Favorite Male Country Artist.
Eminem, who hadn’t won at the AMAs in over a decade, returned in a big way, winning Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist and Favorite Hip-Hop Album for The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce).
Gracie Abrams was named New Artist of the Year, while Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars nabbed Collaboration of the Year and Favorite Music Video for their hit Die With a Smile. Gaga also claimed Favorite Dance/Electronic Artist, and Mars added another trophy for Favorite Male Pop Artist.
Jennifer Lopez, hosting the AMAs for the first time in ten years, opened the show with a medley of the year’s top hits. Janet Jackson made a return to the stage, performing a mashup of Someone to Call My Lover and Mariah Carey’s Shake It Off, before receiving the Icon Award.
Rod Stewart closed the night with Forever Young, accepting the Lifetime Achievement Award surrounded by five of his children.
