After 23 years in the skies, an Air India Express pilot’s final flight turned into a deeply emotional farewell. It was made even more special by the presence of his family and the voice of his daughter guiding viewers through the moment.

A video shared by veteran pilot Om has gone viral on social media, capturing his last operating flight before retirement. Narrated by his daughter, the clip offers an intimate look into a career that began as “just a dream” and grew into a lifetime of dedication to aviation.

The video opens with Om receiving blessings from his parents before leaving for duty. “Finally the day has come,” his daughter says, reflecting on the journey that started 23 years ago when he first began flying. Looking back, Om shares how it took two years of training before he officially took to the skies, eventually spending over two decades with Air India Express. “I’m thankful to the Express for giving me this opportunity,” he says.

At the airport, colleagues welcomed him with flowers and cakes, a warm tribute to a pilot who had become family. Addressing passengers onboard, Om made a heartfelt announcement. “Today’s flight is the most special for me,” he said, explaining that his wife and daughter were travelling with him for the first time and that it was also his final flight before retirement. Reassuring the cabin, he added, “Don’t worry, you’re in safe hands. I have an experience of 23 years.”
