In a shocking video that has gone viral on social media, four women were seen hitting an employee of a restaurant in Florida.
Four women attacked an employee of a restaurant after an argument with him in Florida earlier this week. A video of the incident, recorded by a customer, was tweeted by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. Punches were thrown and one grabbed money from the register. pic.twitter.com/FJsIcJHyWS The women placed their order with Popeye's restaurant as the incident occurred in the drive-thru lane of the popular chain in Lantana on Tuesday, The New York Post reports. The Sheriff's Office said that the altercation started following an argument between one of the women and the cashier. Thereafter, she allegedly spit at the worker and also assaulted him. Amid the argument, she stepped out of her car and attacked the employee as seen in the video. The other women also stepped out of the car and joined in the onslaught. One of them, in fact, went inside the restaurant to steal cash meanwhile, deputies said, as per the report published in The New York Post.
Women are treated in the new penal code as being on the same level as "slaves", with provisions allowing either "slave masters" or husbands to administer discretionary punishment, including beatings, to their wives or subordinates. This aspect of the code has drawn particular alarm from rights groups.
