Yukti Kapoor to be seen in double role on Maddam Sir

Yukti Kapoor, who plays the role of Karishma in Maddam Sir, will be seen playing a double role on the show. The actress is quite excited to play dual role for the first time in her career.

Sony SAB’s cop show Maddam Sir is set to introduce a new twist in its upcoming episodes. They will be introducing a new character, who is not a cop. Unveiling the mystery around her, the show will surprise its viewers with a familiar face, but she is not who she seems to be. The show will introduce Karishma's (Yukti Kapoor) identical twin sister, Kareena. She is the complete opposite to senior inspector Karishma Singh.

Essaying both characters of Karishma and Kareena, this would be the first double-role for Yukti Kapoor. A minute younger to Karishma, her twin is an amazing dancer but not that great at acting but she still want to become an actress. She is extremely conscious of her looks. It will be interesting to see how Karishma reacts to her sister's presence at Mahila Thana.

Speaking about the new character she will be portraying, Yukti Kapoor, said, “Kareena is the complete opposite of Karishma that viewers have seen for a long time. She has a sense of entitlement as she is famous, she throws tantrums and gives orders, as if the real-world is her film-set. Which is such a fun character to play, especially due to the contrast of playing a cop at the same time, who is serious about her work and doesn’t have time for anything else much in life. The opportunity of playing a double-role is quite exciting, and I really am enjoying the friction between the two characters, which I am sure is going to make for a very entertaining watch in the upcoming episodes.”

Maddam Sir airs on Sony SAB, Monday to Saturday at 10.30 pm.
