Youth murdered, body set on fire and dumped at Delhi-Kanpur highway

An unidentified youth was murdered and his body was set on fire on the side of the Kanpur-Delhi highway to erase his identity. Passersby noticed the flames and doused it with water, after which they discovered the corpse and informed the police.
An unknown youngster was brutally murdered and his corpse was set on fire and dumped on the side of the Delhi-Kanpur highway. The incident took place on Monday night, February 28. The body was set ablaze to erase his identity.
Upon seeing the fire on the side of the highway, passersby informed the police.
At around 10 pm on Monday night, a young man was murdered on the side of Delhi-Kanpur highway. The incident happened near the Yashoda nagar crossroad in the Naubasta area.
After setting the body on fire to hide his identity, the killers fled from the scene. When people saw the fire burning near the crossroad, they came to the spot and poured water on it.When the flames subsided, a corpse was seen.
A localite and an eye witness of the incident claims he saw fire on the roadside and when the people doused it with water they saw that it was a dead body which was being burnt.
Soon after, the police were informed. Upon primary inspection, it looked like the victim’s face was repeatedly hit with a brick.
Joint commissioner Anand Prakash Tiwari said that the body has not yet been identified. “After collecting all the evidence, we will reveal the identity of the killers,” he said.
