A 28-year-old woman was brutally killed by her husband in Karnataka's Kalaburagi district, where he allegedly slit her throat in broad daylight and then ran a car over her following a dispute.
In a gruesome broad daylight murder, a 28-year-old woman was killed by her husband, who slit her throat and then ran a car over her in the middle of a road in Karnataka's Kalaburagi district on Thursday, police said.
The victim has been identified as Saanvi, a native of Maharashtra. According to police, the accused, her husband Akshay, reportedly took her in an Ertiga car, forcibly dragged her out onto the road, and brutally attacked her.
The footage, which has now surfaced online, purportedly shows Akshay attacking Saanvi in public as she screamed for help.
The incident occurred was captured on mobile phones by locals present at the scene. Visuals of the incident show bystanders recording the attack instead of intervening to save the woman.
Police said Saanvi died on the spot due to her injuries. After committing the crime, the accused fled the scene in the vehicle.
Preliminary information suggests the murder followed a family dispute, though further details are yet to be confirmed.
