A woman was critically injured after jumping onto the metro track at Noida's Sector 16 metro station. Police rushed to the spot.
A woman was critically injured after jumping onto the metro track at Sector 16 metro station in Noida, police said.
According to initial information, the incident took place in the Sector 16 metro station area under Phase 1 police station limits. Soon after receiving the alert, police reached the spot and took the injured woman into custody.
She was admitted to a private hospital for treatment, where her condition is reported to be critical.
Police said that efforts are underway to establish the identity of the woman. After ensuring her admission to the hospital, officials have begun further investigation into the matter.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, a body of a 39-year-old man was found with several visible injuries near Jafrabad metro station in northeast Delhi. The victim was identified as Aqeel Ahmed.
A team rushed to the spot and found Ahmed with visible injuries on his body. He was declared dead, and the body was shifted to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital for post-mortem, a senior police officer said.
