While the Xiaomi 12 Pro is an expensive phone, the Xiaomi 12 Lite will likely be lighter on your pocket.
It seems that Xiaomi might be planning to announce another phone in the Xiaomi 12 series. The brand is already selling three phones in the global market - the Xiaomi 12, 12X and 12 Pro. Now, a new leak suggests that the Xiaomi 12 Lite could be on its way. The design and key specs of the handset have surfaced online just a day after Xiaomi 12 Pro launched in India. The latter is a flagship device from the brand which offers a Snapdragon Gen 1 SoC and other top-notch features. While this is an expensive phone, the Xiaomi 12 Lite will likely be lighter on your pocket.
As of now, there is no official confirmation on the existence of this device. So far, Xiaomi has only launched the 12 Pro model in India and the other two models still haven’t arrived. But, the company is expected to bring Xiaomi 12 Lite to the Indian market, considering the Mi 11 Lite was also announced in India. We will have to wait for some time to know more about this.
The leaked images of the Xiaomi 12 Lite suggest that the device has a flat screen and a plastic frame, unlike the original Xiaomi 12 series phones that offer a curved display and metal frames. It could feature a triple rear camera setup, and a typical punch-hole display design, similar to Samsung phones. The leak also shows that the handset won’t have a slim profile and it may feature a boxy design.
The Xiaomi 12 Lite has also been spotted on the Geekbench listing with model number 2203129G. The device scored 788 points in the single-core test and 2864 points in the multi-core test. It has achieved these scores using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G chipset. It could be backed by 8GB RAM. The Xiaomi 12 Lite will likely run on the latest Android 12 OS with Xiaomi’s MIUI 13 custom skin on top.
The leaks so far reveal that the Xiaomi 12 Lite will arrive with a triple rear camera system, which is said to include a 108-megapixel primary camera. The primary camera may use Samsung’s ISOCELL GW3 sensor. The device will likely be offered with an AMOLED display that will operate at Full-HD+ resolution. The panel is expected to have support for 120Hz refresh rate. It could sport a 4,500mAh battery and come with 67W fast charging support.

Samsung has been teasing its upcoming A-series devices since last week, without officially revealing their names. While speculation has largely pointed to the Galaxy A37 and A57, a lengthy video recently surfaced ahead of any official confirmation, revealing the key specs and pricing of the devices.

Students who appeared for the Bihar School Examination Board Class 12 exams can now access their results through multiple platforms, including the India Today Board Results page for smoother and quicker access. With heavy traffic expected on official websites, this alternative option ensures students can check their scores without delays or technical glitches.
