India Today
The Oppo Find X9 Ultra is launching globally in April. It is Oppo's first Ultra-branded phone to launch outside of China.
Earlier this month at MWC 2026, Oppo announced that its next camera flagship — Oppo Find X9 Ultra — will make its debut globally. This would be the first time that the company’s Ultra model is launching outside of China. Today, the company confirmed that the launch is set for April, same month that it is breaking cover in China. Oppo is expected to launch the Find X9 Ultra in India as well, though the timeline remains unclear at this point.
The Find X9 Ultra will be unveiled alongside the Find X9s Pro in China. The global launch of Find X9s Pro is not confirmed yet.
Oppo's Chief Product Officer Pete Lau took to X, formerly Twitter, to tease the Oppo Find X9 Ultra global launch window, offering a glimpse of the design of the brand's next flagship. From the teaser, the Find X9 Ultra is seen sporting a flat metal frame and a flat rear panel. Notably, an unspecified orange button is visible on the side of the device, drawing comparisons to Apple's Camera Control button.
While the full specifications and exact launch date are yet to be officially disclosed, leaks have already painted an exciting picture. The Find X9 Ultra is tipped to arrive with a quad-camera setup with a 200-megapixel primary sensor, a 200-megapixel 3x telephoto lens, a 50-megapixel periscope camera with up to 10x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor. To top it off, the 200-megapixel periscope unit is rumoured to feature a large 1/1.28-inch sensor, which could make it a serious contender in the smartphone photography space. The device is confirmed to feature Hasselblad-tuning and is said to be backed by a battery exceeding 7,000mAh.
According to Tipster Smart Pikachu, the Oppo Find X9s Pro will be powered by a 3nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset and a 7,000mAh battery. In terms of the camera, the smartphone may sport two 200-megapixel cameras on the back. More details are awaited.
The Find X9 Pro for context comes with a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display offering 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of up to 3,600 nits. Powering the device is a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
