Woman advocate attacked with sickle in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruppur

A woman advocate was attacked with a sickle in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruppur district. Her daughter was also injured in the attack.
A woman advocate was brutally attacked in broad daylight, leaving her with a bleeding face and hands. The incident took place in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruppur district.
The victim, Jameela Banu, is the public prosecutor for Manila Court in Kumaran Salai. She had visited the advocates office along with her daughter to take note regarding earlier cases for her research.
A man suddenly barged into the office and attacked Jameela Banu with a sickle. When her daughter tried to defend her, she was injured as well.
Hearing Jameela’s cry, people rushed in to help. The assailant, however, left the weapon behind and fled from the spot.
As people heard Jameela’s cry and came to help, the assailant left the weapon behind and escaped.
Jameela sustained injuries to her head and hands. She was taken to a government hospital for further treatment.
Police have launched an investigation in the case.
