Will hit it just for fun: Trump warns of fresh US strikes on Iran's Kharg Island

The US president has indicated the possibility of further US military action against oil hub Iran's Kharg Island, emphasising that while Iran signals readiness for talks, current terms remain unsatisfactory.
US President Donald Trump has issued a fresh warning that America could launch additional strikes on Iran's oil-rich Kharg Island, saying the facility had already been largely destroyed in recent attacks but could be targeted again a few more times "just for fun".
His remarks come as the war involving the US, Israel and Iran entered its third week on Saturday, heightening fears of wider regional escalation and disruptions to global oil supplies.
Speaking to NBC News, and as cited by The Times of Israel, Trump said recent US airstrikes had "totally demolished" most of Kharg Island, Iran’s main oil export terminal.
He added that although Tehran appeared willing to negotiate an end to the conflict, the proposed conditions were unacceptable to Washington. "The terms aren’t good enough yet," he said, adding that "we may hit it a few more times just for fun".
Kharg Island, located about 30 kilometres off Iran’s southern coast, handles roughly 90% of the country’s crude exports.
The facility lies near the strategic Strait of Hormuz, through which around a fifth of the world’s oil supply passes.

When we look at Iran through the prism of religion and see a Shia Islamic country, we negate its thousands of years of rich pre-Islamic Persian culture. A dive into the world of Zoroastrianism and Vedas shows us how Indians and Iranians have been sharing languages, Gods, sciences and a sacred fire for thousands of years.
