At an award function, Ranbir Kapoor had revealed that Rishi Kapoor was insecure about not getting work while he was undergoing cancer treatment in New York. The actor had said Rishi would always talk about films.
It's been a year since Rishi Kapoor breathed his last. The actor died of cancer on April 30 last year. In 2018, the late actor was diagnosed with leukemia and flew down to New York with his wife Neetu Kapoor in September the same year. After a year-long treatment in the Big Apple, Rishi returned to India in September 2019. When he was undergoing his cancer treatment, the actor was worried about not getting work in films. Speaking at an awards function in 2019, Ranbir Kapoor had shared how his dad Rishi Kapoor was worried whether he would get projects on his return to India. After receiving his Best Actor Award at the Zee Cine Awards for his performance in Sanju, Ranbir Kapoor dedicated it to his father, Rishi Kapoor. He had said, "Whenever I speak to him, he only talks about movies. He only talks about ‘how is this film?’, ‘how is this film doing?’, ‘how is this performance?’, 'what are you doing in this scene?' And more so, he speaks to me about his insecurities that when he gets back, will he get to work in movies? Whether people will offer him films? Will he be able to act in movies?”More Related News
