West Bengal Board Exams 2021: On Monday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the respective boards will decide the evaluation process for the Class 10 and 12 board exams that have been cancelled. She has directed the education department to decide on the evaluation process, keeping in mind the possible mental stress and the future of the students. She further added, "I do not want the student to go through any mental stress and their future should also not be compromised. I will ask the department to decide (on the issue of evaluation) to keep these things in mind so that the students don't suffer." On June 7, 2021, Mamata Banerjee announced the cancellation of Class 10 and Class 12 board exams, keeping in mind the Covid-19 situation and public opinion.
